his little wedding car
And of course, wedding cars are never complete without...
..........................
having two little bears sitting at the front!! =)
The place where the ''hair-combing'' ceremony takes place for the groom. Just some chinese custom.
the bride and groom's new bedroom !
bouquet of flowers to be given to the bride, by the groom.
And finally, time for the groom to leave his house to fetch his bride!
tata!! ( those ain't my fingers btw)
The hotel that we're heading to is actually just behind the groom's place. But since the wedding cars were all dolled up, we decided to make a big round and show off the cars a little while.
The best thing, all the cars honk when they're almost reaching the hotel ! I love that part most =) ( next time, i make sure my groom and his bestman horn loudly when they're coming to fetch me. I mean like hey, we don't get such honour often, or do we? )
the groom's car right at the hotel's entrance. Note : the groom is not allowed to open and get down of the car himself!
The time has come...
for the groom and his friends to be tortured! Want to fetch the bride home? Not so easy... *chuckles* Check out the watermelons there meant to be finished by them...girl power!
bring it on !! a few watermelons...
eggs...
doing a few push-ups *huff* *puff*
Finally...
just when he thought he was in to see his bride after all the commotion...
''hurry up, i wanna see my bride...''
eh...there's a connecting door.
Dang! another obstacle to go through!
there's actually 20 packets of condoms on the floor. They're asked to blow it like a balloon to pass the last round... *burst out laughing*
''please don't tell me that there's another door'' *almost fainting*
Finally! the groom meets his bride...saw how happy the bride was?
time for the bride and groom to exchange rings...
the groom surprised everyone by giving the bride 99 roses and a speech to his bride all of a sudden. The groom himself couldn't control his tear gland...tears of joy that is..
bride and groom leaving the hotel, heading back home for the tea ceremony !
and of course, how can i forget a last picture of me and cuzzie, before he becomes a married man..sigh
Oh well, the tea ceremony went on back home later on. The day finally ended with a buffet lunch. Guess the whole Yoong family was really happy that day, since most of the adults were saying that the next wedding that'll happen will be in another 5 to 6 years time. haha..luckily im the 2nd youngest in the family, long time more before its my turn! =)
After the buffet, headed back home and rest a little while before playmate came over to pick me up. We decided to just laze around since both of us had a long and supa busy morning. During the night, i had to go back to my aunt's place for another round of buffet dinner with some relatives.
Coming up, wedding dinner...
Went to watch Night In The Museum with playmate last night. I thought this movie was nice and entertaining enough for us. Furthermore, we were in Room 9, the new cinema! Glad that Cathay Cineplex took over that pathetic place with smelly seats. Overall, i'd give this movie *4 eeyores out of 5 eeyores!!* =)
Really hope that the sun stays up.
At least till after cousin brother's wedding ceremony.
Got to wake up really early tomorrow morning, by 7am perhaps? Following cousin brother to fetch the bride from the hotel back home for the tea ceremony. I wonder if we're allowed to honk like there's no tomorrow when we reach the hotel, that'll be fun! *chuckles*
Mummy is the youngest and only girl in her family. Therefore, she has a huge role to play tomorrow as the only aunt. Somehow, i can't imagine the groom and bride serving tea to daddy and mummy tomorrow. Hopefully i don't burst out laughing, for no reason?
I wonder how's my grandma feeling now. Her oldest grandson is getting married tomorrow! And what more, its the first Yoong family's wedding after my parent's generation. Happening.
From this wedding-happening-soon, I've actually learnt that there are certain animals not allowed to attend the tea ceremony tomorrow. For example, all those who are pigs ( I mean, if you're born in the year of pig of course. Like me, im born in the year of dragon! ) then you're advised not to go. Not good for the bride, as she's the new member of the family. Now i know.
And the second thing is, the groom has to be out of his house by 8am and the bride has to be out of her room before 9am tomorrow! Some lucky timing maybe? Now i understand why i always see the groom and his bestman sitting at the coffee shop early in the morning. Now i know.
Hopefully everything goes on well and smoothly tomorrow! *crosses fingers*
My hair looks supa weird at the end of the day everytime i take it off. grrr...
Although bear looks good in it...
*note the little bell hanging around his neck. thats to put bear in a little christmas mood too*
Im just glad im over and done with it.
But to those reporting to their respective camps this coming Monday..
I just have to say, go with an open heart. Then you'll truly enjoy yourself there. Im glad i went, at least i managed to make so many new friends from all walks of life. That's something you should really look forward too.. =)
*the two big big bears we spotted sitting on the shelf*
* bend took one of the little bears from another shelf and place it there. One big happy family!! =) *
* i love big brown bears!! *
* Both of us with Mickey and friends! We were number 300+ in line just to have this picture taken! *
When bend and his friends drove in to Singapore at night to watch the christmas lightings just last week...
*Orchard Road*
* there's actually a few real humans standing in there *
* Singapore's version of santa claus, giving away candies *
* Clarke Quay *
no pictures to share! My forgetful playmate forgot to send the pictures to his pendrive. But its definitely a beautiful place to head to at night, with all the lightings and the bridge over the river. Spent the night sitting by the river, while few of the guys were..emo-ing? *burst out laughing*
During the time i went to Tebrau City...
* me and bend's chocolate snowman lolipop! The greedy goat couldn't resist and bit of mr.snowman's head even before i could take a picture of it *
* Sesame Streets show! thats actually elmo wearing a christmas hat with false beard on too =p *
Thinking back, i really enjoyed my holidays this time. The me who is able to come back Jaybee for barely 2 weeks since i went up to KL to start college is happy enough being able to spend my whole last two months of year 2006 in Jaybee, back home. Kind of sad that i have to be back in KL soon enough, next week to be precise. Blah.
* 5 days to 2007! *
We left the hotel about 9+pm and headed to Juivy's house later on for a small gathering with the girls. It definitely feelt good meeting everyone again after such a long time, and what more counting down to Christmas together. Oh yea, and the exchanging of christmas presents!! =)
As for Christmas, me and bend headed to Seasons! Of course, we'll never leave that place without having some Swenson ice-cream first. *yummy* =)
Then, he has to confuse me with one question.
How did Santa Claus come about ? *scratch head*
there..now I see you..
Von, Wen and me! =)
and..we love you Melmel, Happy Birthday!!
oooh and just before i end today's posting...

Happy TangYuan Festival everyone!!
